Only 42 km (26 miles) from Belo Horizonte, the Vale Verde, located in Betim City, is an ecological park which combines beauty, culture and leisure. Designed to preserve the flora and fauna, it provides to all your family a nice environment and a quiet day in contact with nature. A real paradise in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.
The Vale Verde Ecological Park offers several recreational attractions, such as wagon ride, visits to the Enchanted Nursery of Loris, ecological trails, paddleboat and zip-line. We highlight on Vale Verde Zoo, which works for the conservation of the species kept in captivity, such as the Harpy - the largest bird of prey of the Americas and a collection of orchids that perfume and color the park.
For adults, there are tours to the sustainable production process of Vale Verde cachaça, considered by Playboy Magazine as the best cachaça in Brazil, and a visit to the museum that tells the whole history of the drink.
The Vale Verde also receives school groups and makes personalized educational tours. It also has a nice restaurant with a menu of Minas Gerais, Brazil and international cuisine.
